What’s The Senior Bowl Buzz Around Irish Players?
January 30th, 2010 . by adamnOver the years, the Senior Bowl has always been a great showcase of the talent the Irish have amassed on their roster. It is an opportunity to watch tons and tons of Notre Dame upperclassman that have helped the Irish win a ridiculous amount of games, and are ready to take on their NFL careers-test their mettle against the rest of the nation’s best seniors.
This ample amount of talent always makes Senior Bowl week an exciting week for Irish fans, as Notre Dame studs garner more attention than any of the other schools’ players.
This year is no different, here are some bits of hype heard surrounding the Irish participants (Sam Young, Eric Olsen, Kyle McCarthy):

Oh, wait a minute, I am mistaken. The Irish hype at Senior Bowl week actually has all of the excitement of envelope-stuffing. Just like every other year for Notre Dame.
Unfortunately, Senior Bowl week (and its lack of Irish players making an impact, both in numbers, and in strong performances) is just another great example of why the Irish have fallen off as a program.
Will this ever change?
