When Silly Fans Attack

December 30th, 2009 . by adamn

I’m a silly fan.

So are you.

We like to act like we know what we’re talking about-but we don’t have the answers at all.

We make statements like:

“Notre Dame needs a bigger name than Brian Kelly-someone who has won a championship at the highest level.”

“Brian Kelly needs to make a splash of a hire for his assistant coaches.”

“Brian Kelly needs to keep his “RKG” approach that he used at UC.”

“Brian Kelly needs to start recruiting 5* players.”

“Motivation has been Notre Dame’s problem.”

“Notre Dame players have been under-developed.”

“Notre Dame will have trouble recruiting due to academics”. (I have repeated this sentiment many times.)

We make grandiose statements that back up our opinions (and we all have different opinions), and the truth is we would have a better chance to find the answers to ND’s problems in the bottom of a Crack Jack Box than from our own “extensive” knowledge of how a football program is built.

Just some food for thought.

Bon Appetit.
