10 Things That Should Piss You OFF
July 8th, 2009 . by adamnNo need to explain further, I really hate these things:
1.) Taking care of business on the toilet and realizing that you have no toilet paper. Shuffle-stepping across the house with your pants around your ankles is the leading cause of broken hips in America.
2.) Taxes. Nothing beats paying for other people when you can barely pay for yourself.
3.) Media whores. Except you, Paris Hilton, because there is always a chance we are going to see your vagina.
4.) Notre Dame getting stupid 3 star recruits that not even Mike Farrell has heard of. I’ve already complained, but the signing of some quarterback named Tommy Rees allows me to do so once again.
5.) Middle-age metabolism. I hit mine at 25. The was the last time I could eat a Big Mac and not have to get on the treadmill for 40 minutes to counter some of the damage.
6.) Mondays. The first day of the work week for many. Even the extremely hot 80’s rocker Susanna Hoffs wished it were Sunday.
7.) ND losing to USC by 31. Every. Freakin. Year.
8.) Politics. Lean to the left or right? It doesn’t matter, politicians are crooked either way.
9.) Midwest winters. 6 months of freezing temperatures is not fun. Plus, it hurts in recruiting.
10.) Notre Dame not challenging for a championship since Robin Williams was a cross-dressing nanny.
I agree with most of these. However micheal crabtree was a 3 star and that seemed to turn out ok for texas tech. These ratings don’t mean shit. And tommy rees hasn’t even played his senior year of high school ball yet! I think these kids must be worthy both academically and athletically if notre dame is investing full scholarships in them!
Cole,
You are partially right, recruiting rankings can be wrong. There are some unheralded recruits that turn into bona fide studs. But, the odds are in favor of the highly rated guys being good more so than the lower rated guys.
Also, it’s not just the stars (or lack thereof) that bother me, it’s the small number of championship-type programs that are offering the same kids that the Irish are. Wouldn’t you be more comfortable if the Irish landed a qb that USC was after too?
